Share Pizza and Refreshments with us on August 4th to find out how MarkLogic is extending their Market Leadership with New Data Integration, Security, and Manageability Features for Optimal Data Access, Integration, and Dissemination. David Gorbet, SVP of Engineering will be presenting on the growth of MarkLogic over the course of the last year, a preview of the upcoming MarkLogic 9 release including key advancements in the following areas:
Data Integration. Over 36 Billion Dollars a year are spent on IT Integration. ETL is often as much as 60% of the time and cost of an IT development project.
• MarkLogic can reduce both ETL cost and development time by over 60%
• MarkLogic 9 features make it easier and faster for organizations to manage the varied, often messy and costly effect of continuously changing data that exists across the enterprise.
Security. In 2014 and 2015 the following companies experienced serious data breaches: Hacking Team, Kapersky Labs, Last Pass, The Army National Guard, The US Office of Personnel, Anthem, Blue Cross / Blue Shield, Target, Sony, Home Depot, Spotify, eBay, Goodwill, UBS, JP Morgan, The US Postal System and the European Central Bank.
• Hundreds of millions customers’ personal data was compromised, as were hundreds of millions of credit cards. Costs for some of the breaches exceeded $100 million per incident and several major executives had to resign.
• Embarrassingly, some of the victims were computer security companies, major financial institutions and even government agencies.
• Data threats are no longer curious teenagers in a garage but professional cyber teams sponsored by foreign governments.
• A data breach can cost you customers, money and reputation and may result in fines and lawsuits.
• MarkLogic is one of only 7 databases to have Common Criteria Security Certification. It is used by several government intelligence agencies as well as all of the armed services
• Marklogic 9 brings even greater security with new features such as: At rest data encryption, element level security and data redaction.
Manageability. MarkLogic can reduce the administrative overhead by a factor of 10 to one.
• MarkLogic 9 improves the customer experience by delivering easier and proactive administration that increases staff productivity and agility.
