Marketing has come under fire for the past decade to show ROI and demonstrate its contribution to enterprise success. Inexpensive web-based tools, such as Google Analytics, promise to help, but do these tools really give us the actionable? A similar question can be asked about home-brewed or off-the-shelf marketing dashboards and scorecards. So how do we manage the unmanageable complexity? Gary Katz is founder of Marketing Operations Partners, Inc. A visionary and thought leader in the emerging Marketing Operations field, he is a veteran with more than twenty years of marketing and change management experience in the technology industry in corporate, agency and entrepreneurial positions, where he directed corporate marketing, communications, public relations, lead generation and qualification, investor relations, and employee communications programs. Previously, Gary served as director of communications for ShoreTel, director of corporate marketing for Aplix Corporation and senior manager of corporate communications for Insignia Solutions.. Gary holds a master's degree in organization development from the University of San Francisco and a bachelor's degree in public relations from San Jose State University.

Gary is past president of the Silicon Valley Chapter, Public Relations Society of America (PRSA), an Accredited Member of PRSA and a certified strategic planning process facilitator by the Institute of Cultural Affairs. Gary served for three years as a member of the Business Marketing Association Thought Leadership Committee and three years as a track chair for the Marketing Operations Management Symposium.
