Supporting the Maverick journey...

Our vision for this community (our third over two decades) is to provide a free web presence and local meetups for Mavricks who are (or will be) doing their own thing and living their own way. We savor the opinions, tips, and stories of like-kind thinkers and do-ers. We describe a Mavrick as any individual who declares self-authority over their life, learning, & living while aiming for the best use of a lifetime. Mavricks are continuous learners advancing their individual, ongoing self-journey. We believe that in order to get to the meaning of a lifetime and its most efficient use, we greatly benefit ourselves by getting tips, ideas, and support from others who are also mavricking their own lives and livings. Since continuous learning means facing challenges you have never faced before, then mistakes, errors in judgment, and more efficient ways of doing things ARE possible. Within the Maverick FORWARD ME community, there will likely be people who have been there and done that.
We don't have to do this alone!

The community concepts are:
1) straight talk (when everyone gives their genuine thoughts and ideas the advancement is unbelievable)
2) the final decision is yours (Mavricks listen to all the advice, ideas, ways of doing things then decide for themselves). This is the fastest way to get a decent deep conversation going.
3) self-integrity (an adherence to one's own moral & ethical principles; soundness of moral character; and honesty as the base)
4) MavSpar also called Sparring with a Maverick (When one takes a position, the spar partner is expected to go around the issue with all the OTHER possibilities they can think of in order to get as much information to the person working out future scenarios)
5) Commmunity Give (You agree to give more than you take, help more than you are helped, and pitch in where you see a need. In other words, advance the community as well as the individuals).
6) Exampulling (Pulling the community up by example.) Mavricks really respect the individual whose words match how they live, work, and journey. Being an example is ever-changing self-work (we are literally never done). Instead of just talking....show us through example. We are forgiving of mistakes along the way (no one here expects perfection) and we respect genuine attempts at living what you can be.
7) Constant Rookie (We believe an expert never gets help because he/she already thinks they know everything. We feel this is a sad position to be in (and lonely). We take the rookie role always making it okay to learn more, ask a million questions, grow exponentially.)

There isn't an age range for this group. Age has nothing to do with it. Mavricks 'turn themselves on' at any age. With our past Maverick communities, we have found families gravitating here and we embrace this. The best thing we can give our Mavrick youngsters is a playground of supportive encouragement and thinking to start the journey earlier. Some awesome opinions have come from a young mind who hasn't yet been programmed to think it can't be done a certain way. Plus we have found that young Mavricks are seldom 'kids' when it comes to their minds. Students must be accompanied by an adult or sign a permission form and be able to keep up with the conversation without distraction.

OUR FOCUS AREAS (these are just a few):
MAVRICKING: When we use the term 'Mavricking' we mean the daily actions of performing the more efficient self-journey.

The ART of Maverick is MAVERCRAFT. Mavercrafting is the self-sculpting of one's body, mind, & soul such that it centers the living, the life, & the one that is truly alive. (Note: We are not a religious affiliation. You determine what 'soul' means to you)

BESTING OURSELVES: Since our biggest competition is besting ourselves (not others, grades, position, status or job title), a Mavrick tribe can play a huge part in personal advancement with more efficiency and is OFTEN less expensive with fewer mistakes.

BOUNCE: Our community will be based on the proprietary concept of the Maverick BOUNCE which is an agreed upon, free, safer partnering system for bouncing ideas, working out next journey steps, and more fluidly advancing.

Are you a Mavrick? You are a Mavrick the moment you declare it. THEN the learning begins! Our community supports your unique learning.
