Join your fellow Mainers as we dine for a cause!  Our goal is to generate more interest in and acceptance of a vegan lifestyle by encouraging restaurants to offer more vegan selections.  We believe this will reduce animal suffering and hunger as well as to help the environment and our health.  Between June of 2007 and December of 2011, our group enjoyed well over 1,100 meatless meals while educating restaurants about our mission and the market force vegans have fast become.  We are a part of VegME!, Maine's veg hub, more here: www.vegme.org.

We ensure there are vegan meals available, but all vegetarians and those interested in vegetarian dining are welcome. To be as flexible as possible while showing regard for our mission, we have only two requirements: no meat at our events and respectful conversation.

We use our site as an online community to share ideas, recipes, suggestions, keep a calendar of events of interest and to ensure that we are continuing to meet the needs of the group. To facilitate our online community and the organizing of events we ask that you join our group to participate. Membership is free.
