The Media Associates Group is made up of people in the area surrounding Sacramento, who are trained and talented in the media arts - inclusive of the television and radio broadcast industry, media production, print journalism, still photography, Web site design and creation, marketing and media buying. This is a PROFESSIONAL group, with the majority of members having at least 5 years or more experience in their field. We promote networking, not competition. We help to build up each others business through the sharing of wisdom, knowledge and new information. We commit to an integrity promise - to not solicit clients committed to another member; to speak only good of other members, or stay silent; to repeat only what is obviously appropriate to repeat outside of our meetings. The primary purpose of this group is to generate more production work for all members. There is a $20 yearly fee, which allows you to post your bio, face shot and a resume reel on our Media Associates Web site (www.MAGsacramento.com). A $5.00 fee each meeting helps cover the cost of the room, snacks, and supplies. (others charge $10!) All members pay the yearly fee. Those who attend meetings pay the meeting fee. At this time, all fees are collected in person or by mail - check or cash. MEETINGS: Please watch the calendar. You will be automatically notified of calendar posts, if your settings allow it (check them). Otherwise, check in to see what is happening during the month. We have monthly meetings but also occassionally invite you to events of interest to our members, or set up speakers on other days. RSVP: Please, if you RSVP positively, show up! If you cannot come, email or call. REFERRALS: If you meet someone who needs media work done, and you don't do it, please refer to a member - if you feel it's someone who can handle the job.
