Hello Joseph! Good to meet you at the kareoke night, good for you for coming along, I hope you got a chance to get up and belt it! I didn't really get a chance to chat to you on the night but hopefully see you at one of the Simply Sing nights soon! All the best, Kyla
If singing for Simon Cowell in front of a TV audience of millions sounds too daunting, welcome to Simply Sing, the meetup group for people who simply want to develop their vocal abilities…
Simply Sing was set up over two years ago to give all ages the chance to sing anything from pop and trad to rock or Motown in a relaxed environment. The sessions are run by Clodagh Swords, who wanted to bring her love of music to the masses `”So many people long to sing,” she says “but they don’t really have the opportunity in their everyday lives. We meet up and let people share their singing voice on their own or in a group. We are not a choir or a band. All we do is simply let people sing every week they arrive.” But is a decent singing voice a toss of the genetic dice or can anyone learn to sing? "Everyone who can speak can learn to use a singing voice," says Clodagh. “Simply sing is designed for all vocalists who are looking to develop their solo singing. If you like singing but never got that opportunity to perform solo, this is the place for you. In a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere budding singers get to explore their singing voice. This group is open to all levels of singers. We meet most Tuesdays to simply sing!”
So before you grab your microphone and start jumping for joy, remember this class is open to anyone who wishes to join, and is a great starting point for people who wish to explore their voices .After a few sessions, you will begin to see results, allowing you to feel a sense of achievement - and curiousity - when you hear a positive shift in your singing talent. So what are you waiting for? Come and join us for one of our weekly Meetup’s. We're looking forward to hearing your beautiful voices!
