Details

This is a long weekend event, starting on Friday morning. We will use the Port Phillip Ferry to get to Geelong. Meet at 9.00 am for coffee, before boarding the ferry to enjoy the bay cruise and scenery. We disembark to spend some time exploring Geelong, first to Little Malop St, then out to the Old Paper Mills at Fyansford where we can check out Provenance Wines and do lunch. After this we will follow the Barwon River bike-paths and cut across to the Bellarine Rail Trail to ride to Drysdale, then on quiet road across to St Leonards. We will stay here in an AirBnB or other booked accommodation.
Saturday will be a day to take a loop run to Queenscliff for the maritime museum and/or Fort Queenscliff Museum, then to Point Lonsdale to visit the lighthouse and view The Rip, and Marcus Hill for a winery, before returning to our accommodation.
On Sunday we will return to Drysdale to ride the rail-trail to Marcus Hill, then ride on to Ocean Grove and Barwon Heads for lunch. Our afternoon ride will return us to Waurn Ponds via Thirteenth Beach Road and Breamlea.
