Welcome! Less Wrong is a community for people who value science and rationality.

Less Wrong members aim to develop accurate predictive models of the world, and change their mind when they find evidence disconfirming those models, instead of falling victim to cognitive biases.

We love discussions about goals and motivations, evidence and belief, improving decision making, and spotting and correcting cognitive biases.

This is the local meetup for Melbourne based rationalists, thinkers, and readers of the LessWrong.com blog. At out meetups we discuss things such as improving your productivity through life hacks, calibrating your predictions and confidence, effective habit formation techniques, and how to be, well, less wrong!

We have formal and informal meetings every week or two in locations close to the Melbourne CBD. We have casual social board game nights, rationality skill development nights, occasional excursions, and regular conversations wherever we can.

If you are curious, come to any of our advertised events, and find a background of the key ideas at http://Lesswrong.com/about
