Microcontroller Monday / Open House

This is a weekly meeting at the makerspace to work on your digital electronics projects.

Arduino/AVR, PIC, MSP430, ARM and more are welcome; come show off your projects, get some help and learn something new.

It's also a good time for new people to come by and see the space, get a tour, meet some members and learn about ongoing projects!

I have an .stl of the object and I'd be more than happy to contribute for the PLA. How does this makerspace work? Is it only open for the hours of the Meetup events? Is it possibly open tomorrow? I've e-mailed the admin on the website but didn't hear back.

    Thanks!

Not hearing back -- that would be my fault, I apologize. We've got our Open House tonight for the Microcontroller Monday meetings, which everyone is invited to. The space is open to members 24/7, and non-members can come in for the public events. Generally, we don't really allow use of the tools by non-members, but we're all pretty much familiar with the 3D printer, so you can probably get someone's help to print something out for you. We would normally not be open to the public tomorrow, but maybe we can work something out. Email me with your phone #, or send me the STL, and I'll see what I can do.

You need to have an .stl file of the object you want to make. It takes a while to print. I am not sure if anyone else needs to use it.
I am not sure of someone that does it locally.

Do you guys have a 3D printer available for use at the open house? Does anybody know of a place that could do 3D printing in the Melbourne/Cocoa Beach area?

There's a good chance that I'll be there, and I'd be willing to help you out. If not me, just ask around, odds are someone would enjoy helping. There is a minor cost/tip jar for PLA.

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
