Learn HTML Class (Part 1 of 5 Web Dev Series)

This is class 1 of 5 for the Web Development Series of classes. These classes should give you the basics for building your own website, making a web application, building the server side scripting for Internet of Things projects, or even mobile web applications for tablets and smartphones.

This class is specifically to cover the basics of HTML. We'll be focusing on the syntax of the markup tags, attributes, and other formatting that web browsers expect. We'll also touch on the extra tags that were added in HTML5 like and . We'll also talk quickly about XML just to show how they use the same syntax/open/close tags/elements the same way.
Then finally we'll discuss the way web servers serve up the files to your client web browser and how the HTTP protocol works at a very high level.
