USK Exhibition at Hawthorn Town Hall Gallery

We are exhibiting at Hawthorn Town Hall Gallery's Community Project Wall. The title of the exhibition is “Urban Sketching in Boroondara”

THE WORK

• Max size is A3. (ie. Up to A3 framed work). All work will have to be framed.
• Max number is 4 pieces per person.
• Work can be for sale or not (ok to just exhibit)
• Note the following cost for pricing work: the gallery takes a commission of 15% AND
• Please make a donation to UrbanSketchers.org when you sell your work. So when pricing, do factor in 10% as donation.

COST

There will be no charge for submitting work (except for your own framing and transportation of the work to/fro the gallery. Invitations, catering etc. are sponsored. But note the last 2 bullet points above

SKETCHING SESSIONS

We have had a number of sketching sessions in Boroondara, and there will only be a few more. All work for exhibition must be done during these sessions. Needless to say, the works have to adhere to our manifesto - I trust you are familiar with it by now.

DATES TO NOTE

Submission of work - Sat/Sun 1/2 Nov (11-4pm) - bring your framed work to the gallery Sat or Sun - be sure to label at the back of your pieces - Title, Artist name, Medium, Price (if you don't put price, we'll assume you are not selling))
Installation - Monday 3rd November (Gallery is closed)
Open to public - Tuesday 4th November
Official launch event - Saturday 8th November (2-4pm, with catering so come along and celebrate)
Finishes - Saturday 6th December
Collection - Monday 8 December (Collect from Monday onwards, ok to collect the following weekend, again check their website for opening hours)

D) A request: I will need to collate info on all the work for the exhibition, so in addition to putting a label on the back of your work, please also email me the details - latest on the Sunday that you deliver the work. Details required:

a) Title of work
b) Artist name
c) Medium
d) Price (if you don't put price, we'll assume you are not selling))
e) Totally optional: a desciption or story to your work - please keep this to a SHORT paragraph.

• A few people mentioned that the start is cup weekend. Yes it sure is. If you are busy, you need to get other people to help with the submission.
