Hi Spring,

I've been wanting to come to a meeting, but May has been quite busy for us. I've been working on a project of my own for self-publishing on both Amazon and smashwords.
Both of them offer free ebook publish, with the author controlling the price or making it free. It might be a good way to go with our next WordStream. I've talk with a couple other aspiring writers who like the idea. We can have each authors information in the table of contents, such as blog and links to other works.
I'm hoping to make the next meeting. I can share what I have learned. We can kick the idea around some more.

Hello,

In 2010 our group published a small journal called the Memphis WordStream in an effort to create something that belonged only to our group, but could be shared with friends, family and the public.  This is a non-profit endeavor built by volunteers and distributed by members - In short, a labor of love. We cannot promise copywrite protection and members are responsible for protecting their own work, but we can offer exposure and the enjoyment of seeing your work in a finished project.

Please visit our files section at Meetup.com to review out first edition.  All editions will be similar, but allowed to gently morph into whatever best fits our submissions. We intend to be flexible with this and let it grow as it will.

We also have a representation of this journal on the link below in wordpress.com. If enough of you are interested - it can become a year round project with only occasional printable versions available.

Please comment as you will.
