Details
Doug Fox, the Director for the Center for Sustainability and Global Change at Unity College will lead us in a discussion of Distributism. How can we have an economy that promotes sustainability, peace, and justice? Capitalism encourages initiative, but also greed and exploitation. Socialism encourages thinking of the common good, but also state power and control. Distributism encourages private property, but also the distribution of capital as the means of production. Might it provide a way of thinking that would enable us to create the sustainable and cooperative sort of economy we need?
