just wondering if there Is anyone in this group who could show us how to program and use our radios the booklet that came with them are too technical to understand. Our radio's are kinda useless if we don't know how to use them. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Yes we would appreciate your help in programming our radios as we no longer have internet and don't have the cord needed. Please let me know when a good time would be. Thanks again.

Different topic. At the end of the meeting the discussion came up about N95 masks. There are 2 companies I get supplies from for my Med Kits; Firstaidonly.com and Chinookmed.com. Firstaidonly has the masks in boxs of 20 for $50.00, Chinookmed has the individual sealed masks for $1.50 each. Some information to compare when you're out there looking around.

just make sure you order right size.

Keep in mind that the N95 masks aren't what you want for pandemic flu (or viruses in general). You want to get N100 masks instead. And make sure you are buying from a medical grade supply company, like buyemp.com.

Good information. Might have been a little technical for some, but that is where the others can help. Let it sink in and then ask for help if you feel you need it. The more we all know the better off we all are.

The hard part here is the limited time and meeting once a month. We have people with such varied experience levels, it is easy to get pulled off the planned topic. I think topics need to start at a basic level and then build from there even if we need to split a topic over a couple of meetings.

Very interesting, but too much technical information. The information given was very useful, especially when looking for various types of emergency communication devices.

David, in the flier you mention to bring a map to the meeting, among other things. Is there any map in particular?

Bring a map that you would put in your bug out bag, small enough to carry easy to read. We use the spiral bound "Get around Phoenix" map purchased at Wal Mart.
