Learn to sing Handel's Messiah!

Join us for five rehearsals and one final community-wide sing-along performance of Handel's Messiah at Calvary Presbyterian in South Pasadena, CA.

This community group has been meeting for nine years and is open to novices and experienced singers alike. The director Mike Wilson is wonderful conductor who's very knowledgeable with the score. More importantly, though, he's very warm and friendly and supportive of everyone from the newbie to the pro -- he gets each one of us a little bit better every year! So whether you've sung the Messiah a dozen times, or you'd like to try it for the first time there's a spot for you!

Rehearsals take place Saturdays from 9-11 a.m, Nov 7-Dec 5. You need not attend all rehearsals, come to one or to all five (free child-care provided on site). Please note that we are running about 40+ singers per rehearsal, if you only see 3 or 4 people have RSVPd, don't worry and please don't let that stop you -- this group has been meeting for 9 years and most singers do NOT rsvp through Meetup. We are simply using this site to help spread the word to anyone else who'd like to join us!

The final performance is Sunday December 6th, 4 p.m., we'll have an orchestra, harpsichord and professional soloists. You need not have attended the rehearsals to join in the final sing-along, it's an open community-wide event. Free child-care will be provided for the performance. A reception will immediately follow.

Rehearsals, sing-along admittance, childcare and the reception are all provided free of charge, this is Calvary's gift to the community.
