Worldwide Meteor Day – Athens

Come join Meteor Athens for Worldwide Meteor Day (http://meteorday.com) at SciFY (http://www.scify.gr/site/en/)! The whole Meteor community is holding simultaneous meetups around the world on Nov 6, open to anyone who is interested in learning more about the Meteor platform. You’ll get to meet developers who have built things with Meteor here in Athens, play with the new Meteor examples and tutorials. We’ll have free Meteor t-shirts and stickers in the new design as well. Be sure to bring your laptops for the deploy fest and open coworking.

If you’ve built a Meteor app before, we would love to see it during the show & tell part of the meetup. This could be any project large or small, whether that’s a complex production app or just something you threw together in a weekend. Drop us a line in the comments if you have a Meteor app you could show. Schedule:

7:30pm - Get togther.

7:45pm - Introduction to Meteor. Showcase of new tutorial and set up and deploy an example app live. Hack and deploy your own app in parallel!

8:30pm - Show & Tell + Q&A. Built an app with Meteor before? We want to see it! Short, informal demos or talks from local developers + discussion. Presenters are (so far) George Voulgaris and Sven Buschbeck (https://www.meetup.com/Meteor-Athens-Greece/members/179460842)

~9.30pm - Open coworking / socializing / future organization. Let's talk about how to organize future meetups and build something cool with what you’ve just learned.

We'll have some food on-site or order Pizza / Souvlaki /... .
There is also an option to meet at a bigger place, so please sign up as soon as possible and do not worry about the attendee limitation for now. :)
