Worldwide Meteor Day – Minneapolis

Hello! It's been a long while, and the Minneapolis Meteor group is back in business as we join Meteor for a first-ever global Meteor event day (http://meteorday.com/), where all 125+ Meteor groups from around the world will get together in their local times to present and learn all the awesome things people are building. We will be representin' Central Time, ya'll. The Midwest, ya'll.

New Logo! New Versions! New Design! New Package Management! Amazing new Blaze UI engine! Performant real-time syncing! Mobile Integration! Meteor is growing at a fast clip with an incredibly talented and bright community; it's an exciting time to re-engage if you've been on the sidelines for a while.

Here's the agenda, with more details to be filled in soon:

6pm: Introduction to Meteor and showcase of new Tutorial and example apps

6:30pm: Everyone pulls out laptops to install and deploy an app (think of questions you'll want to ask in the Q&A)

6:59pm: Take a group photo, tweet it :)

7pm: Q&A Live stream with core devs or local experts

7:30pm: Local Show & Tell lightning talk sessions

~8pm: Hacking / Social Time / Questions

~9pm: We'll go over to Stout's (walk across the street) for their happy hour

We'll have pizza, soda, and lots of swag and lots of fun. So unite fellow Meteor geeks. Bring a friend and bring a laptop. See you there.
