MEETUP AGENDA
6:30pm - Meet & Greet
7:00pm - Featured Presentation
7:45pm - Break
8:00pm - Lightning Talks
We have a hard stop at 8:30 PM this month and so, we'll start a bit earlier than usual.
Jon James, the CTO at Three Ring (a startup running Meteor) will be giving a talk about how they use Cucumber and Simian.io to streamline their product development process. Sam Hatoum, a member of the Velocity core team, will be joining via the web.
For our lightning talks tonight, we have:
John Furneaux who will discuss Hive: Building the future of work with Meteor.
Hive has an excellent chance of being the biggest Meteor project of the year. We’ve left leading companies to reinvent collaboration using the world’s most powerful platform. Get a sneak peek at the lightning talk today. John Furneaux has spent 10 years implementing collaborative tools at organizations like NASA, Disney, Beats by Dre and the State Department. Hive is the result of that experience.
Brian Reinero a developer advocate at MongoDB, will also give a lightning talk.
Looking forward to seeing you all at the meetup!
Got an idea for a keynote presentation or lightning talk? Just leave a tweet-sized description on the Hack Night of your choice and we'll help you get set up. We're looking for tutorials, walkthroughs, talks, discussion topics, and production apps about or related to Meteor.
If there's a topic you'd like someone to talk about, post that too!
And don't worry, you're not required to get technical. Meteor is new, and we're learning together.
