Meteor Devshop 11

Come co-work with other Meteorites during the day at Meteor Devshop, or socialize with Meteorites and give/see Lightning Talks in the evening. Or both. Either way, we'd love to see you!

*Doors open at 2PM.*

Note: this event is for people attending Devshop in real life.

Meteor Devshop 11: Day

What: Open co-working
When: 2PM - 6PM
Where: Meteor HQ,[masked]th St., San Francisco, CA

*Doors open at 2PM.*

We're focusing this Devshop on helping people build apps and packages.  Some knowledgable Meteorites will be here to help, and  if you're presenting a Lightning Talk later in the evening, you can make some last-minute edits. (Drop Jade a line or comment here if you're interested in taking a shift to answer questions for fellow Meteorites.) There will be plenty of snacks, caffeine, and fellow Meteorites, so please bring your laptops and ideas.

Meteor Devshop 11: Night

What: Dinner, Lightning Talks, and Happy Hour
When: 6PM - 10PM
Where: Meteor HQ,[masked]th St., San Francisco, CA

Come share food, drinks, and talks with fellow Meteorites. Demo an app, share something useful for fellow Meteorites, or talk about something interesting you've learned with a Lightning Talk. If you would like to give a Lightning Talk, please sign up at least one week before Devshop so we have time to make graphics for your name and your talk.

For inspiration, see Lightning Talks from previous devshops.

6:00PM - Dinner

7:00PM - Aaron Cammarata - Full Page Gaming: Integrating the Unity WebPlayer with Meteor

7:30PM - Pete Hunt - High performance functional programming with React and Meteor

8:00PM - Lightning Talks (you!)

Transit Information

There is ample street parking at this end of SOMA, but we're also pretty close to Civic Center BART station, and the Bus lines 47 and 83X take you straight here from the Caltrain stop at 4th and King.  There is also a parking garage on Mission between 7th and 8th that operates until midnight.

(Videos from Devshop will be shared on  Pictures from Devshop will be shared on G+.)

I decided to install Meteor before going to bed and see that its UNIX only systems. :( This Windows user is going to have to bow out until I buy a Mac. Bummer.

Fast question - is there a save place to park a bike indoors? Don't like the idea of keeping my bike on Mission late at night....

    January 28, 2014

    • Jade W.

Hi Mark, Unfortunately we don't have enough indoor bike parking for everyone. Folks usually plan to lock their bikes on 10th St., but we're very accessible by public transit as well. We're very close to both BART and MUNI.

That's the actual New Year. New Year's Eve is one night earlier. :) Unfortunately, that's usually the more important "day" or evening.

Yes! By the way, RSVP'ing here is for attending in real life (as opposed to watching remotely).
