What are you looking for in a group like this? (There are no wrong answers.)

Community, fitness, motivation, energy... It's easy enough to go the park on my own, but when I find someone as interested in pushing their boundaries as I am, it brings things to a whole new level. Play is all about interaction!

Our group is all about learning from each other. Do you have any specific talents or relevant knowledge you could share? (i.e. related to movement, food, foraging, survival, homesteading, etc.) It's OK if you don't.

I have taken an Urban Survival class, which is not fitness related, but it does tie in with our motto "Be Fit To Be Useful" It focused on things such as how to stay safe in hostile environments, how to escape if you are captured, how to disguise yourself and blend in, how to protect yourself during social unrest (Hurricane Katrina, earthquakes), how to pick locks, the list goes on...

We travel all over for a good workout, although we generally hold most workouts in Union, Essex or Bergen counties. What part of NJ (or NY) are you in and how far would you travel for a workout? (no wrong answer, just curious)

I am in the Linden-Cranford area, but I have traveled as far as Philadelphia for a good workout. That was a Rafe Kelley seminar, so while it's not something I would do every weekend, I do regularly drive up to 1 hour in any direction for a good workout. Generally between New Brunswick (Central NJ) and Ringwood (North NJ/NY border.)


Originally into traditional "gym fitness", I started looking at more functional exercise a few years ago, eventually landing at MovNat & Methode Naturelle. I love meeting motivated people and exchanging knowledge about our movement practice.
