Hello, Outdoors-lovers:

We will travel 6 miles to Marysville, stop for refreshments and return. 12-15 miles at a moderate pace, total 2-1/2 - 3 hours. Optional lunch following ride at a local restaurant. Sunday, Aug. 29 - Pte. Mouillee Levee Hike
Enjoy a 7-mile walk on the flat top levees of this constructed state waterfowl area, near Gibraltar. (Pointe Mouille State Game Area) A perfect viewing vantage for a variety of waterfowl that float in the many ponds we walk past. And a rare look at the Lake Erie shoreline. This is open terrain ? no shade, so bring sun hat, repellant, we go rain or shine. Bring trail snacks and water, and meet at noon in Flat Rock behind the Rite Aide on Telegraph and Gibraltar Rd. Mary Slumpff,[masked].

Sunday, Sept. 5, 4:30pm - Arts, Beats, and Eats Festival (http://www.artsbeatseats.com/)
This 4-day festival (Friday thru Monday) has everything and now it's in exciting Royal Oak. SEMG Sierra Club, sponsor of this Meetup site, is staffing a beer/soda/liquor booth at the north end of the festival near one of the main music venues as a fund raiser and our volunteers will be there all 4 days. The Outings team will be on duty Sunday 3-11. Meetup at our booth at 4:30pm, say hello, then head out to enjoy the festival.

If you are interested in volunteering, use the link below to see details.
