About us
This Meetup group is for people from the Stuttgart region (and beyond) who enjoy hiking and other outdoor activities as welll as social, cultural and educational activities. We meet about three to four times a month.
We are the "Metropolitan Club Stuttgart e.V". an international club, which roots go back to 1951, with a tradition of German-American friendship open for participants of all nations.

"In God We Trust" is the motto of the USA. Although the USA is officially a secular state, religion nevertheless plays a significant role, particularly in politics. Election years especially highlight the extent to which religious issues and actors are involved in political processes.In his lecture, Prof. Dr. Benjamin Dahlke examines the role of religion in the context of the 2026 US midterm elections and analyzes how different religions influence the election and what role they play in the electoral process. In this way, the lecture offers a well-founded insight into American democracy.
