Project Siena for Windows 8

In preparation for our upcoming //Publish event, we will be having a workshop on developing Windows 8 apps using Project Siena. Project Siena is a Windows 8 app that is used to create and develop Windows 8 apps. You have access to REST services, connections to social media such as Facebook, Bing Search and Bing Translate, Azure Mobile Services, and more. You can do a TON with Project Siena just by learning the basics. I will be showing off some additional cool aspects such as text to speech, translating hand written notes to text, etc. With this tool you can quickly create both a Windows 8 application, which will gain you an entry into the BAM (Best App a Month) Contest. We will be giving away a Dell Venue 8 pro for the winner of the BAM contest, as well as additional prizes for those that publish an app at the //Publish event.
