First meetup!
Details
Come to the initial Miami HUG meetup to join other peers involved in Hadoop and Big Data, discuss your interests, ask questions and find out what others are working on.
We will discuss the format for the upcoming meetups, propose new topics, and decide on a venue for future sessions.
There will be an beginner-level talk, titled "A walk by the (Data) lake: Introduction to the Hadoop ecosystem", by David Villegas. This presentation will introduce some of the most important Apache components such as Hadoop, HBase, Hive and Spark, with real examples.
The event is hosted by IBM in their Coral Gables office. The meetup will be updated with more information on how to get there.
