Alcoholics Anonymous is a program that works for many but can be alienating for those who do not believe in god; whose faith is different from Judeo-Christian tenets; or whose belief is that their understanding of god is between them and god not a roomful of alcoholics. This Meetup Group is to find like minded alcoholics to explore creating an AA meeting based on the Third Tradition thus allowing alcoholics the opportunity to express their experience, strength and hope without the emphasis on god. The purpose is not to bash AA, god or religion but to diversify the culture of AA in the Miami area to allow alcoholics of all kinds of faith or lack thereof find sobriety through the program of AA. All those with a desire to stop drinking are welcome to join. Discussion will focus on our problems with alcohol and recovery through the program of AA.
