Be ready to talk about Excel and take notes!

Hi all, welcome to the MS Excel Refresher Meetup Group.  Our next Meetup is scheduled for Thursday, February 7th at 6:30PM at the Ansir Innovation Center. The February Meetup will focus on Vlookup formulas, Pivot Tables and of course your personal questions.

Be ready to take notes on the many tips and tricks that will be shared by your host and fellow members. Computers will not be available on-site so it is preferable that you bring your own laptop, but by no means is it required.

I'm looking forward to seeing everyone and helping to make 2013 the most productive year yet!

Please let me know of any questions that you may have, thank you!

I'm a routine user of Excel for simple spreadsheets, but have been using Lotus 123 for dos for many many years, in a more advanced mode. Need to unlock more capabilities in Excel.

Good morning group! Do we have anything on the agenda or any requests on what to talk about for our upcoming Excel session?

I haven't actually gotten to a functional phase. I used a macro for my final step and it has the problem of copying over some functions with values and then making the macro unusable after the first time. Tough to describe in words, as usual, but it will be fun to let you all take a look. I'm interested in your added functionality, looking forward to it!

Hitting snags in these types challenges make it more fun. If you don't get it working, we can all check it out on Monday. I'm actually having some performance issues on my revision. I'm about 60% done, but will probably stop due to the issue. I tinkered around with a fix to it and may have found a possible solution to improve the performance of insurance selection. If the sample works, then I will have to apply some mods to the current revision and may not finish by Monday. We'll see how it goes.
