We had a gal named Julie visit our group in June. She has been going through some pretty rough times. She was laid off from her job about 6 months ago and since it was a church and not required to pay into unemployment she got none. The apartment complex she was living in burned down and the place she moved to she now has to vacate. A number of other pretty significant events have occured in her life as well that have made things very difficult for her. She has been diligent in pursuing solutions to her situation and will find out in a day or two if she is going to get a job she has been interviewing for. She needs prayer for a job for sure. She also needs a deposit for an apartment she wants to rent. All of the shelters in Jeff City are full and she has enough to pay her first months rent but not the deposit. Some money has been given already towards the deposit but she still needs about $450. Our church has helped her as much as they feal they can and that has been a huge blessing. I'd like to ask everyone to prayerfully consider helping out a little. Any money given will be anonymous. Also along with your prayers for her, if anyone knows of any inexpensive places to rent or someone who has a room for rent in Jeff City that might work better for her that might be helpful. She has found a very inexpensive place to live rentwise but the electric bills are very high. If she could get something cheeper or more efficient that would be helpful. She may need an emergency place to stay for a couple of days while trying to get the details worked out as well. If you would prayerfully consider if you can do anything to help she would greatly appreciate it. I don't like to do these kinds of requests on a group like this but she will literally be on the street without some help and it is an opportunity for us to give. Thanks for your consideration.
