Franklin, KY., in Free America!
I began riding in 1986. I have over 650,000 miles of riding experience on 8 different motorcycles (7 Goldwings and a Yamaha SR250) and five scooters (four Honda Helix scooters and a Honda Reflex). I used to ride for long distance courier services in southern CommieFornia averaging roughly 300 miles per day, and of course, lots of riding with the clubs when I wasn't riding professionally! I have done several cross-country tours, such as my Tour of America in 2012 (18,000 miles covering 40 states) , and one Iron Butt "Saddle Sore 1000" ride, doing 1,178 miles in 19-1/2 hours. In2014 I rode to CommieFornia and back, and then went to Yellowstone with some Meetup friends. Now I am back and preparing to return again to CommieFornia in early September. This will make some 25,000 miles of riding from May thru September of 2014 alone!
2012 Goldwing with "enhancements."
Virtually anywhere, except for congested cities. I like country roads, the "twisties," riding along coastlines, and through the mountains. I prefer longer rides of 250-to 500 miles in a day, rather than shorter rides with lots of stops.
Hi from Franklin, KY. I ride a 2012 Honda Gold Wing. It has over 65,000 miles on it after a 40-state, 18,000 mile, 4-month tour of America over the summer of 2012 and several other LONG rides. I don't need much of an excuse to go for a ride!
This is a fun group of mature riders who don't have anything to prove.
