Greetings, Drummers!

Just a few things to pass on for the month of February....

Schedule for the drum circles at Good Harvest Market:

Women's drum circle - Wednesday, February 3rd from 6:00 to 8:00 PM

Open drum circle - Thursday, February 11th from 6:00 to 8:00 PM

Join us for what is always an interesting (and fun) time!! At the February circles,
I plan to include a little time for some "toning" for those who are interested (if the
group would like to do this). If you don't know what this is, come to the circle
and find out!! Good Harvest is located at 1850 Meadow Lane in Pewaukee
and the drum circles are held in the Community Room.

Lastly, for other cool drum circles and drum-related events in the Milwaukee

meetup site!!

Groove has a relationship to the whole area of trance, repetition, meditation,
and hypnosis. One view is that, by repeating things beyond a certain point,
the listener's mind is forced to jump off to a new place. But rhythm goes very
deep at an instinctive level too, and has become increasingly an antidote for me
to excess information. Losing myself in playing a hand drum gives me a route
to shedding all the clutterings and clammerings of a world over-rich with
media, and finding a more wholesome space.
