I want to let you know that, for the upcoming Spring Equinox Circle this Sunday (the 21st), we have decided that, if the weather permits on Sunday, we will be drumming outside around the fire. The fire pit has been cleaned up just in case. We had heard that there is a chance of snow by Sunday, but you just never know what will happen with the weather, so we're keeping all of our options open. So if the precipitation stays away and it is a mild day on Sunday temperature-wise, please bring along appropriate clothing to drum outside. And believe me, the space at Mary's Margin for drumming around the fire is GREAT - my hunch is that you will NOT be disappointed if we do drum outside even if it is a little chilly!!
Meet other local hand drummers who are interested in group drum circles and jams, workshops, classes, and trying out some different drums and rhythms. Also meet others who are interested in and/or active in the practice of kirtan.
* At most of the drum events we will have extra drums available for those who don't have a drum yet, but please let us know ahead of time if you'll be needing one. * If your drum needs tuning, or major help, we can steer you in the right direction.
This is a great place to get info on drums, and to find out about other cool drum-related and kirtan happenings around the Milwaukee area (we also post some information about certain events located farther away as well (e.g. Madison and Illinois)).
Please email the organizer (Kristie) if you have questions.
