Greetings, Drummers!
Hope you're enjoying the beeeaaauuutiful
weather these past few days!!! Feels like spring
is here to stay. And, here is my monthly update
for Good Harvest circles and other stuff too.

GOOD HARVEST DRUM CIRCLES
For the months of April and May, the schedule for
Good Harvest has been changed a bit from the
usual. Here it is:
April:
Women's circle: Wednesday, April 7th
from 6:00 to 8:00 PM
Open circle: Wednesday, April 14th
from 6:00 to 8:00 PM
May:
Women's circle: Wednesday, May 5th
from 6:00 to 8:00 PM
Open circle: Wednesday, May 12th
from 6:00 to 8:00 PM
We will be having some brand new people that I
already know of who will be joining us at the
April 7th women's circle. Hope to see you there,
gals - it's always interesting to see what kind of
energy gets created at the women's circles (as
well as the open circles, too!). Good Harvest
Market is located at 1850 Meadow Lane in
Pewaukee and the drum circles are held in the
Community Room.

DRUM CLASSES
I mentioned this in the last newsletter, as well -
I am currently teaching an ongoing drum class in
my home which has been going now for over a
year. I hold the classes twice per month
(usually every other Sunday). The class is
geared toward beginner to intermediate level
students and I teach both the djembe and also
the dunduns (if students are interested in
learning these). For the first part of the class
we do drills and in the latter part of the class
we work on rhythms.
I also teach individual lessons if a person
requests it, but the cost per lesson is
different for an individual lesson. I do
recommend an individual lesson for someone
who is completely new to the djembe and is
interested in joining the group class (as a kind
of intro and "catch-up" session so the person is
able to join the group class with basic djembe
technique skills). Feel free to contact me
if you are interested in classes or if you have
any questions!!

DRUMMING MEETUP SITE
As always, if you are interested in finding out
about drum circles and other hand-drum
-related events and/or in meeting other hand
drummers in the greater Milwaukee area, a great
site to check out is the Greater Milwaukee Drum
Circle Meetup Group. We now have 182
drummers signed on, and we are continuing to
grow. There are lots of nice events listed on our
calendar and message board - check it out!! The

In many cultures there is the belief that the
sound of the drum actually rearranges matter
and spirit on the atomic level - correcting
imbalances in emotion by bringing to the
surface those feelings that require release. It is
not surprising then that the drum has been the
tool of the Shaman for all time.
