MKEPUG Best People / Best Practices

Details
This year MKEPUG is returning to its roots - Best People / Best Practices.
Join us this month for a two-pronged meeting. We're starting out with our own take on a familiar game show. Following the game we’ll launch into our group programming challenge. Flex your own skills, discuss best practices, learn something new and see what your fellow developers are capable of at the return of this enjoyable event that we hope becomes a fixture in the upcoming year.
We're planning on having a drawing for a 1 year PHPStorm license. If you haven't tried PHPStorm yet, it's time you gave this world-class IDE a spin. From its integration with composer, phpunit, various frameworks, and a full range of code analysis tools (phpmd, phpcs, etc) to its eye-pleasing 'Darcula' theme, PHPStorm is worth a hard look.
Other News
NEW MKEPUG IRC Channel! Have a PHP question and don’t know where to look? Find us on freenode at #mkepug. Ask questions, offer help or just hang out and chat. The easiest way to join is via https://webchat.freenode.net/ - just enter #mkepug as the channel.
If you’re a subscriber to php|architect magazine, be sure to check out Aaron Saray’s Confident Coder column. This month’s tips about arrays are quite helpful. We plan on inviting the columnist to discuss his work at upcoming meetings! Additionally, Aaron has posted videos of his presentation “Enterprise PHP Through Design Patterns and Modularization” on his website - definitely worth a look.
