I realize I sent out a similar email last week, but not a single person responded, so I'm not going to feel bad about repeating myself.
Sep 14 will be the first time we've had a visiting speaker from 1) out of state [TX to be precise] and 2) from the national PHP community. As such, I want to do everything I can to have great turnout. First, it will make me feel better about Kevin paying for travel expenses (technically, his employer Zend is). Second though, I think everyone in our community will really benefit by being there.
All that being said, I can understand if you can't make it. Things come up. Maybe you hate Zend. Whatever, doesn't bother me. However, I would greatly appreciate it if you could take 2 minutes (note, this is down from 5 minutes in last month's email) to RSVP. It would show me that we really do have an active group here, even if we don't see everyone at every meetup.
If you can make it, great, RSVP Yes. If not, RSVP No. It's about 2 weeks away so maybe you're not sure: RSVP Maybe.
Make a PHP guy smile, and let's see if we can get half of our group to RSVP. Typically, out of our group of 100 or so people, only 15 - 20 will RSVP. Thank you for your time.
P.S. Please keep spreading the word about this meetup and future ones. I have to believe there are more than 100 people interested in PHP topics in the greater Milwaukee area. The more people we get involved, the better each meetup will become.
