Election Night Watch Party @ McBobs (MKE's Top 10 Corned Beef Spot!)

Some of you know that my husband is running for Alderman in Milwaukee's 15th District. Well the primary election is April 1st and we're getting a great group of folks together to watch the results and celebrate with us.

Three reasons you might want to join us:

1) Eyon's network is filled with dynamic young public servants, human services professionals, and people who carry a bullhorn throughout the city. They're a great mix of folks.

2) I'm expecting Eyon to be the #1 vote getter in this primary and believe that after the April 29th general election he will be the new alderman of the 15th District, which is more than 80% black, economically depressed, and poised for a transformation that could revitalize the central city and change Milwaukee as we know it.

3) McBobs a family owned restaurant in the district which is easily in the Top 2 for MKE places to get corned beef (second to Jake's according to some).

Most of you probably live out of the 15th District, so I'm not posting this for votes. I'm posting this because I believe that all of you will have a role in bettering Milwaukee. I'd like you to connect w/ folks who need to hear what you think and need to see that you're a force in the city.

I also miss you guys and would love to see your faces.

Hope to see you there if you can make it. Wish us luck if you can't.

P.S. INFO ABOUT THE SPRING ELECTION/VOTING IN MKE

If you're ever interested in being an election worker, knowing election dates, want to know your polling place, or need to find out who your representatives are you can find all of that information here: http://city.milwaukee.gov/election#.Uzi5cahdXTZ

April 1st is a special election for District 15, but it's the regular Spring election for the rest of you who live in other parts of Milwaukee. You'll be voting for Circuit Court Judge and voting on a referendum about Milwaukee County compensation.

Here's the referendum question:
