Valentine's Day Sweet-Heart Pawty!

Hey Hey Party Peeps,

It's that time of year again - when all our little darlings fall in love http://img2.meetupstatic.com/22767092636416291949197/img/smileys/love.gif... Let's celebrate by getting them together at the Calgary Mini-Mutts Valentine's Day Sweet-Heart Pawty!

Lilly has demanded heart-shaped sugar cookies with pink icing on them, so mommy's gonna try her heart-est to make them (see what I did there?) and if anyone else would like to bring a contribution for the pawty, you are more than welcome!

Flynnagin found two coffee travel mugs at last group, so if you'd like to send him a message, he will begrudgingly return them. He originally thought he could keep puppy treats in them; they are not clear sided like his elmo container he usually keeps his goodies in, and therefore Lilly supposedly wouldn't recognize the decoy and remain blissfully unaware as Flynnagin gorged himself to his heart's content. I tried to explain to him that Lilly's nose is as good as his, and she would therefore be very aware of any treats on the premises regardless of whether or not they were in a stainless steel coffee mug. (In fact, Lilly's nose is actually far superior to Flynnagin's sniffing skills, but this was probably not the time to emphasize that). In the end, we had a heart to heart about doing the right thing when you've found something that doesn't belong to you, and after an elaborate real-life example staged by Papa and myself in which a heartbroken Flynnagin was overcome with joy when Papa "found" The Elmo Cup Itself which had been "lost" at the park, a teary-eyed Flynnagin suggested we send out a message notifying people of the lost mugs from meetup. I was very proud of him at this point, but, as I am quite lucid of my bias as a dog-mommy, I can admit to myself this new found big-heartedness in my little darling will most likely be short lived, so if you are at all attached to your mugs, I suggest acting sooner than later.
