What sort of stories do you write? And if you have anything published, tell us about it (even if it's not SF.) We love to hear about all your successes.

Through the years I have always written poetry, short stories...various formats for various audiences. I think that the journey my life has taken me on has helped me to shape characters in my writing that are versatile and flexible. They are ordinary people caught up in extraordinary circumstances and find it within themselves to do what needs to be done with little fanfare or, most of the time, any back up. No retired spies or international jewel protagonists tend to be secretaries, accountants, and building inspectors. My genres of choice are mystery/thriller and historical suspense. I have self-published an e-book called "Burning" under my pen name, Rose Mandan.

What brings you to the SF Writers Meetup? Is there anything that you hope the group will do for you?

It's always an adventure to meet other writers and compare notes on character-building, etc.

Just your average, everyday mom, grandma, secretary. The kind of person you stand behind in the checkout line and look right past, probably thinking "What a boring life she must have!". All a smokescreen...a mask. Invite me in, if you dare!
