What: SHT - Two Harbors (Lake County Rd 301) to Split Rock Wayside

Meetup Description: This is an Intermediate trip.

Hi Backpackers! Ready to Backpack? It's the new rage! We are getting a lot of interest in trips, so let's continue our journey! Join us June 5, 6, 7th as we make our way from Lake County Road 301 (Two Harbors) to the Split Rock Wayside. This is part of the Superior Hiking Trail.

Friday, June 5th - Drive and hike "1.2 miles" into the Sliver Creek Campsite.

Saturday, June 6th - Hike 1.2 miles east passed the parking lot to west Gooseberry campsite. Total miles hiked today "11 miles".

Sunday, June 7th - Hike "10.4 miles" and exit east from the SHT to SPUR trail to the parking lot. Then we will get dinner before driving home.

We will discuss this event more at a meeting I call the ?pre-pack meetup?. During this time we will discuss gear, where to eat after the journey, shuttle route, gas and meals. The meetup will be at the ?Lebanon Hills Visitor?s Center? in Eagan. More details will be posted soon.

If you will be driving, a ?MN state park sticker? is required. You can buy a 1-yr sticker at REI for $25. You can purchase a 1-day sticker for $5 per day.

IMPORTANT: If you are going on the trip, but are unable to attend the planning meeting, we need you to contact one me before the planning meeting to make sure I have obtained the necessary information from you. Failure to attend the planning meeting or respond to e-mails from trip leaders may result in your being removed from the trip.
