Altered Book Journals

Come to this meetup with your book already prepped and we will make a journal page. It is so fun and easy to make a piece of art from an old book!

Before coming to the class you need to prep your old book. Find an old book with preferably stitched binding. It is better if your pages are not shiny. Then tear every other page out. You can tear every two or three pages or more at a time if you like. You want to make it so you can easily close it after you paint and add embellishments.

So now that you have your book ready bring it in and lets put some journaling into your book!

I have many ideas for ways of making backgrounds and lots of tissue paper, maps, stamps and punches your welcome to use.

Please bring your own paints, paintbrushes, pens and other tools you wish to use in your journal.

I have a journal prompt book if you would like to look at that for ideas.
