Ascot Hills Panorama

Let's return to the new Ascot Hills park, a real gem with 360 degree views of downtown and the eastside. We'll start a little before sunset with a 350' climb and travel about 3 miles on a mostly ridgetop trail, with a lot of ups and downs on moderately rough but wide terrain. Flashlights are always a good idea, but not strictly necessary.

We'll meet at the trailhead at the eastern edge of the park, in the parking lot on Ruth Swiggett Drive opposite the Farmdale Elementary School, just off of Eastern Avenue. Restrooms at the adjacent El Sereno Rec Center are open until 9. Possible stop for Thai food nearby afterwards depending on interest. Hope to see you there for this stunning walk!
