iOS app + Java REST web service = Mobile Cloud computing

As you probably know already, most mobile apps today have a server component for storing data, performing computations, providing access to media and more. These services are generally implemented using a REST architecture (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Representational_state_transfer).

Please join Andrew Goodale, iPad Application Engineering Lead at Wingspan Technology, Inc. for his presentation on how to use iOS + Java to build and consume a REST-based web service. He'll be demoing the work needed to implement a Java REST service, and how that service can be used in an iOS application.
