We are very excited to announce the first Mobile Health Meetup! The main topic of discussion for this meetup will be Apple's ResearchKit.

We will be joined by Max Little who is an applied mathematician who has led the Parkinson's Voice Initiative, in which he and his team developed a cheap and simple tool that uses precise voice analysis software to detect Parkinson's disease. See Max's TED talk (https://www.ted.com/talks/max_little_a_test_for_parkinson_s_with_a_phone_call) for more details on this.

More recently Max has been working on the Parkinson's mPower app, developed by Sage Bionetworks and launched with the announcement of the Apple ResearchKit in March.

Max will be with us to share his thoughts around the "the accelerating potential of consumer technologies in clinical research" and we will explore this and ask: What role ResearchKit may play in the changing clinical research landscape? How do we imagine the open source community around ResearchKit developing? What are the big barriers that ResearchKit faces?

Please bring your questions and opinions and join us for a beer or a glass of wine, pizza and lots of interesting discussions.

Hope to see you there!
