On October 13th the Challenge of reading ALL DAY long starts. During the bi-annual read-a-thon we will read books, post to our blogs, Facebook and Twitter about our reading, and visit other readers’ blogs. We will also participate in mini-challenges throughout the day to win prizes. (I love that part!) This event happens twice a year, in April and in October. It was created by the Dewey. The first one was held in October 2007. Dewey died in late 2008. The read-a-thon was renamed to honor its founder in 2009.
On Oct 13,2012 the Dewey’s 24 Hour Read-A-Thon (http://24hourreadathon.com/) will start at 5am for Los Angeles. If you want to learn more or sign up, click on the links or the button above. There is no money involved and it’s purely for the love of reading.
Go to http://24hourreadathon.com/ to learn more and to sign up! Every hour I will try to post (here) the link to the hourly challenge. You don't need to have a blog to participate.
