Hello Veg Lovers!
My mission here for the New Veg is many-fold, however, for all of us, whether we are just starting, curious or full on vegan, can benefit from the education and tools available today. Here are a few of my favs.
1. One of the top and respected leaders in veg living is Dr. Neal Barnard of the Physician's Committee for Responsible Medicine. His vision and mission has touched thousands of people who are seeking a plant-powered healthful diet. I have been following his work for many years and after recently attending one of his seminars, it deepened my respect and I cannot recommend his work and books enough.
Check out their Vegetarian Starter Kit - awesome for all, now matter where you are on your veg path.
And another awesome resource they offer is The NEW Four Food Groups one pager
Dr. Barnard's latest book is excellent, especially if you are looking to shed weight, but great for all who are looking to maintain a healthy weight or seeking to live a long, healthy life.

2. Two other top leaders and educators are Brenda Davis RD and Vesanto Melina RD here in B.C. Canada. Their pioneering work includes such publications as Becoming Vegetarian, Becoming Vegan and now, Becoming Raw. They dissect the depth of veg living to a level that respected colleagues, such as Dr. Barnard above consider as some of the most credible research in the industry, but also give us the straight goods and how to's for even the most green veg lover.

3. Another exceptional resource is Jack Norris, RD. As co-founder of Vegan Outreach, he goes the long extra mile to ensure research on each aspect of a vegan diet is covered and then covered again!
