The Moonlit Poetry Caravan is seeking members with a genuine dedication to poetry and a desire to grow through writing and interaction. Our emphasis is on content rather than rhyme.

Eventually, we would like to have a stable group of poets who value one another’s input and interact regularly. We do not demand perfect attendance, but a note from your doctor or your Mom is required if you don't show up. In addition to live meetings, participation in the message boards is preferred, but is not a requirement.

Currently the group meets every other Thursday, one meeting in Portland, and one in Greham Oregon. You are welcome to attend one of our meetings and try us out before making a decision to apply.

Feel free to review some of the work already posted on the Board. If you are interested in joining, please use the Apply button and share some of your poetry.

What members are saying

To share the delight of expression through poetry.

Dale

To share experiences and learn about ourselves through the writing process. As for myself, I miss being around artists, and being part of a poetry group really made me aware of that.

Combining the elements of two and the struggle of making a decision created a very good resonance throughout the poem and for me as a reader. The poem was short with no fluff, and in turn very powerful. Admirable work!”
