Morning Startup - Perth
If you're involved in a startup, or thinking about starting one, chances are you can learn from others that are doing and thinking the same.
Morning Startup is a fortnightly morning catchup where founders, potential entrepreneurs and others in the startup community (VCs and Angels welcome) get together to learn something interesting, get feedback on idea, vent frustrations, and meet some new friends in the game.
If you're not a morning person, we also host a casual afterwork catchup on the first Wednesday of each month called Founder Sundowner.

Jesse Emia, founder of KeepSpace, has been part of the Morning Startup community for more than 15 years, supporting the meetup as a sponsor, regular attendee and long-time contributor to Perth’s startup ecosystem. Now based in Melbourne, Jesse is in town renovating their Perth facilities, so we've jumped on the opportunity to grab him for another one of his infamous, no-bs, talks!
In this session, Jesse will go deep into the internal operating system behind KeepSpace: the structure, team, culture, planning rhythms and decision-making processes that have helped the company grow into a resilient, multi-million dollar business.
Jesse’s talks are known for being candid, practical and almost uncomfortably transparent. Expect a rare look inside the actual day-to-day mechanics of building a company, including how KeepSpace approaches financial transparency, salaries, OKRs, team alignment, annual planning, weekly reviews and focusing everyone on the work that matters most.
Jesse will share how KeepSpace has built structure around vision, projects, workflow and people, and how those systems help the team stay aligned while navigating changing markets, economic pressure, COVID, hype cycles and the rise of AI.
If you’re building a startup and want more than high-level advice, this is a chance to see the real operational detail behind a company that has had to become stronger, clearer and more resilient over time.

On the first Wednesday of each month, let's get together for a tasty beverage or two, celebrate and/or commiserate the month that was, and share plans and ideas for the month yet to be!
You might even meet your future Co-founder, Engineering Lead, or Senior Vice President of Vibes & Alignment.
As Elon Musk could have once said, "All my success is due to drinking with other startup founders as often as possible".
This is a very casual, monthly, after-work event, in addition to our fortnightly Morning Startup meetups at Spacecubed. So if you're not a morning person, this is for you!
There will be no speakers or formalities. Just a bunch of startups, in a pub, having fun, and learning from each other.
Pizza will be provided courtesy of our amazing Morning Startup sponsors (see below), but make sure you save up ahead of time to cover the cost of your own exotic cocktails and Perth-priced-drinks.
