I was wondering if anyone was up for this?

35km (or 22 miles in English) it's a mixture of forestry track and single track. It'll be quite tough, there's a fair bit of climbing involved, but what comes up must come down. Fitness wise you would need to be in good condition, it's a long day out, but if you managed the recent red and/or black rides out to Kirroughtree, Glentress, etc then you should have no problem with this. It's not a trail centre though, when it's single track it's much more natural so there's no man-made berms, jumps, drop offs etc.

We would meet in the queue for the ferry in Ardrossan Harbour at 9:30 prompt for the 9:45 ferry. Cost is about £11 return. If you're taking the train the 8:34 from Glasgow Central should get you to the ferry for 9:20. Cost is £19 return (incl' ferry).

There's a return ferry at 4:40 and 6:00 so if we miss the first one it's only short wait for the next one. That gives us 6 to 7 hours to complete the ride which should be plenty. In case of mechanicals or any other delays there are a few options to cut the ride short.
