Enjoy film? Like discussions that move beyond likes and dislikes and explore the ways character and circumstance in film reveal true aspects of life and the ways humans relate deeply (or don't)? In this group we'll meet at the Landmark Theater in Berkeley for matinees on some Saturdays--September through November, view artful films, and then stroll to a local cafe' for discussion and coffee/tea for about an hour. Join for one, Saturday a few, or all four. Potential for movie and dinner as a fun culmination. We'll begin with "Jean-Michel Basquiat: The Radiant Child" by Tamra Davis on Sat., September 4. Followed by "Last Train Home" by Lukin Fan on Sept. 25, "My Dog Tulip" by Paul and Sandra Fierlinger on Saturday Oct. 16; and ending with Ngawang Choephel''s "Tibet in Song" on Sat., Nov. 6. Exact times for viewings will vary slightly--first matinee of the day.
