Hey mud runners
I know this one isn't exactly a mudrun but it is related because it'll help with mudrunning. As you might know I have a fitness studio and I've done 3 tough mudders and sometimes train people for the Tough Mudder and other mud runs. I have a presentation and workshop that I do for emergency personnel and different business' and running groups where I teach a system of success for health, strength and fitness so that you show up on game day in shape and ready to attack that mud run well prepared. You can use the info from this presentation on your own and if you feel you are going to need extra help we can talk about it afterwards.

Afterwards we'll have a free workout using body weight exercises that you can take with you on your own that will help you with the obstacles (like climbing over walls etc.). This will be the week after I come back from teaching these very same things internationally at a body-weight strength certification workshop put on by StrongFirst.

Some things that will be covered.
*A battery of knockout abdominal drills for superior strength and development and how to train abs correctly.
*Why you need strong abs in obstacle courses (it's not what most people think)
*breathing techniques for instant power (helps with the difficult climbs)
*how to get 200%-400% more benefit out of the plank exercise
*how to train pullup strength most effectively (awesome for getting over walls)

  • What it takes to finish your strength workout with more energy than you started with.
*How to fit running into your program (balancing these 2 things is a common mistake many make)
*How much running do you really need? (it's probably less then you think)

The same things that you'll learn here have been taught to special forces teams to prepare them for war. Their needs and your mudrunning needs aren't that far apart.

If you attend this free workshop, you'll be much better prepared. Not just for the obstacle courses but for everything life throws at you. Like the motto is for Strongfirst (my affiliation)

"You can be anything you want. A warrior. An athlete. A hard man or woman ready to handle whatever life throws at you. But you must be strong first."

I normally would charge $50 for this workshop but decided to make this one free for my mudrunning group. Aren't you glad you joined? Just RSVP "yes" and take advantage of this free offer.
