This meetup will be all about Clojure and Music creation with Overtone and Writing Lisp in Haskell.

Sampling on the corpus of giants

Maxi will share his experiences in experimenting with markov models for algorithmic composition and analysis of musical data.

Alex P will share his experiences about writing a little Lisp Interpreter in Haskell. How an absolute beginner in Haskell, despite struggling through some concepts, manages to understand and implement things, with a little help of Internet. How understanding of Lisp and Haskell changes over the time and how exciting it gets.

Hey guys, I have to change a topic due to some technical difficulties. Subject will be "Write yourself a Lisp in Haskell". I'll tell you how an absolute dummy beginner (myself) have started to write a tiny (so far) Lisp interpreter, what I've leaned about syntax, closures, environment capturing, and how I've been adjusting my own thoughts according to how others have already done same thing in Clojure and Scheme.

I wanted to have a look at your slides again; can you upload them somewhere?

Very interesting and both speakers and visitors are very nice!. Talks, maybe, a little too hobbyish, but in general it's ok for me, since it's a small meetup and not a huge conference (and most of my talks are the same :) ).

(sorry, a rate system joins my rate-report in comment)

here's the link to the repo where the markov stuff (amongst various other algorithms) is available: https://github.com/josephwilk/musical-creativity
