Hi Music Lovers!
Just a quick note on some recent security concerns.
Today I had to remove two members from our group. One due to failure to properly identify or post a photo. We really are a social networking group of people who enjoy music. That's pretty simple and anonymity doesn't fit in. If you don't have a profile photo please consider obtaining one. It is always difficult to find people you don't know at public events but it is virtually impossible if you don't know what they look like. Around July we will begin requiring a profile photo, so get started now.
On a much more serious note (pun intended), some organizers of other area groups called my attention to a person with a significant public criminal record who happened to be a member of Music Cleveland! While we hope that person takes positive steps to rehabilitate and establish a good reputation, there is no room in our group for that.
So this presents an opportunity for me to mention the importance of caution. In your interaction with members of this group and others just be aware that members are not screened. Use common sense and caution in communicating with members you don't know outside of meetup.
Finally, if you have received any bothersome contact from a member, please let the leadership team know so that we can take proper action.
Enough serious business.
If you have not purchased tickets for our two film events at the Cleveland International Film Festival, please do so now. I expect both films on April 1, to go on stand by (sell out) soon.
Hope to see you at Tower City on Sunday!
